Annmarie Lanesey creates experiments in video installation and video performance.  Her work has been shown internationally at galleries, new media festivals and contemporary art venues, both in the physical world and in cyberspace, including the Institute of Contemporary Art in London, Museo de Arte Moderno in Buenos Aries, Argentina, The Center for Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv, Israel, and at the 11th International Media Art Biennale, in Wroclaw, Poland.  Annmarie received her BS in Electronic Media Art and Communication in 2001 and her MFA in Integrated Electronic Art in 2004 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.

Annmarie’s current in-progress works include ‘Sitting on a Million: The Mame Faye History Project’, an experimental documentary telling the story of Mame Faye, a madame from Depression-era Troy, NY blending oral history, wild speculation, and reenactments to bring to life the spirit of this forgotten woman.  Other current works include the 'Rainbow Residency' a communal video-viewing experience about TV-broadcast rainbows, as well as an ongoing series of single-channel video experiments that seek to uncover some type of universal language.  Other ongoing activities include curatorial video projects based solely on a moment's whim.
