Annmarie Lanesey, is co-founder and President of Greane Tree Technology (Link to: www.greanetree.com), a custom software and multimedia development firm in Troy, NY. As manager of her own career in new media, Ms. Lanesey learned the importance of the business side of a creative practice. She co-founded Greane Tree Technology with Joseph Payette in 2008. As President, Ms. Lanesey oversees business operations, project management, and strategic development. She and Mr. Payette jointly develop the product and service lines and oversee the implementation of all projects. Together, they strive to incorporate quality, integrity and respect into every aspect of their enterprise.
Before forming Greane Tree Technology, Ms. Lanesey created MZA Multimedia, a full service technical animation and motion design studio that produced media ranging from advertising animations to 3-D building forensic models. Ms. Lanesey managed the studio and its staff for 7 years and still consults with them on occasion.
Ms. Lanesey holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Art Media and Communication, and a Master of Fine Arts in Integrated Electronic Arts from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in Troy, New York. Ms. Lanesey has won numerous awards for her creative works, including RPI's Founders Award of Excellence (given to only one percent of RPI students) and the 2004 Grand Prix 'Palm Secateur D'or' at the Kansk International Video Festival, in Kansk, Russia. Her multimedia art and technology projects have screened at over 100 contemporary art venues worldwide including the Center for Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv, the Museo de Arte Modern in Buenos Aires, and the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London.
