Larry Kagan is a sculptor working in a unique medium that combines steel with shadows. He received a BS from RPI in 1968 and an MA in Studio Arts from the University at Albany in 1970. He has taught at the Bezalel academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem and at Haifa University in Israel before joining the Arts faculty at RPI in 1972. In addition to teaching, he served as chair of the Arts department for 13 years, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education for the school of Humanities and Social Science and most recently President of the Faculty Senate. Professor Kagan’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and is represented in numerous private and public collections.
