J. Craig Tompkins - Students

Joseph Craig Tompkins (Craig) is a current resident of Troy, NY where he attends RPI as an Electronic Arts Graduate. He is from Wynnewood, Oklahoma originally and earned a bachelors degree in Fine Arts: Film/Video at the University of Oklahoma in 2005. His work is currently focused on the medical panopticon through ever more observant scanning techniques as well as the process of hospitalization.  His process background comes from a history of ‘scratchbuilding’ and ‘kitbashing’ borrowed from sci-fi and train-set modeling.  His work often involves digital video, digital audio, electronics, models, and larger sculptural elements.
